Hello, dearest Gora community! This is not my first time role playing, but it is my first time joining a game, so this is something big for me! Big, but exciting. Definitely worth it. You may call me Mango. :>

I have brought with me the unfortunate character of Daniel, from the Indie horror game of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Don't let this particular icon fool you though, the poor man is usually not so lucky to be smiling about something. This place is a large reprieve for him. At the point in canon that I am playing him, Daniel does not know the true horrors of the crimes he's committed, so he can sit with a mostly guilt-free conscience.

Daniel happens to be from the 1800s (ouch), so it is going to take some teaching from the other (patient, kind) people whisked to Gora before I/he can start making actual text/video/audio posts.

I hope this twitchy, gullible, beat-up looking man will be entertaining to talk to, even if it seems like one should probably... walk the other way when seeing his pathetic form. Just remember that he is like some small animal: probably more afraid of you than you are of him.

I am a wuss as well! But. Anything is possible if you go back and forth between scary and hilarity enough. Well, and teamwork. I'm a cheater, heh. It is for PC! Easiest to get through the Steam client, but it's kind of picky on which graphics cards it will allow. I had to play the whole game on a friend's computer because mine hates it.

It's hilarity that you have to look for, almost. Some of it is genuine. I think it was a coping device for me. I find swinging hanging pigs around hilarious--
But then again, touching acid to find out it's acid also amuses me.

Hey, it's still earlier than a lot of the folks here! Only... 160 years or so difference instead of... 200. /sobs quietly.

It is so wonderful. So so wonderful. The game was made with a limited budget though, so some of the graphics are fail i.e. you can stack cans through a dead person's face (I found my sanity in strange ways, yes. Daniel, not so much aehaha).
Not so much puddles as random cauldon-y things, but it still works! You can also touch fire. But that... burns you (who would have guessed!).
