CLOSING

It is with a heavy heart that we are closing Gora. However, we plan to reopen it at the end of summer (somewhere late August or early September)!

In the event that we do reopen it, we will allow all who applied to this place in without requiring them to reapply. The game's function, setting, and details will all change to accomodate a better format for the game, using the current system as a learning tool to decipher what to properly do.

If you do not want to rejoin us, we thank you sincerely for playing with us now and we hope you had a little fun in the time you were with us! If you want the earliest announcement of Gora's return, keep the Moderator plurk tracked or look for the game advertisements on RPAnons or RP!Secrets.

We had a wonderful time with you, and we'll do our best to provide an even better experience next time.

Mod Post: Status Update!

This is an important post! The game has noticeably slowed down, and I'm sure those of you whom are left have been concerned or frustrated about the activity, as are we. Unfortunately do to various circumstances, mostly personal/RL and miscommunication, us mods haven't been doing the best jobs either and we will totally take the fall for that. And I will be upfront, we may need to look for another mod or two soon-- or even just helper mods.

Nonetheless! While this post is not an AC, it is checking in on people who want to stick around and are still interested. There is a high likelihood we will be temporarily closing the game for the summer to restructure and replot. We unofficially went over some of this on plurk, but it's about time for an official announcement!

Additionally, if you don't have a plurk but/or would still like to contribute to the discussion of what you would like to see anyway, please feel free to leave feedback here in this post.

To give you a brief idea of some things we're taking into consideration:
- Slightly different AC
- Different app system
- More done with the anomaly (and closing for the summer may be taken as an "anomaly" event too)
- IC vs RL day system
- More face-to-face/action logs encouragement. Though this doesn't mean the network will be going entirely.
- NPCs will stick around, but there will be less reliance on them to drive things. More player impetus!
- Much more OOC info, of course. Especially re: setting.

Nageki (this account), Chili (

incineratus), and Kazuaki (

lethargic) are all heading back to their respective homes. It was a difficult decision to make but in the end Aruma and I thought that it'd be best for us to drop our birds together because Nageki can't really stick around without Kazuaki and vice versa. They'd just be too sad and nearly unplayable. And as for Chili, it was hard for me sometimes to really get him into the setting, so I think this is for the best.

Yo Goralites! Lommy here. I'm going on a trip overseas, so I'm gonna have to call a hiatus for the duration until I get back to the States and have internet access again.

I'll be gone until the 14th or so. Sorry for the inconvenience! If we have threads I'll be tagging them when I return, but you can ignore that if it's too long a wait for a tag. This affects

I've been pretty absent, sorry for all the threads I've left hanging - I need to go on hiatus until the 18th of June because I have srs important exams that I need to study for and I'm starting to panic.

Let me know if you'd prefer to continue them or drop them when I come back. I know it's a pretty long hiatus...

PLOT UPDATE!

So! Wondering what exactly is going on in Gora since the invasion? It's fairly simple!

❧ The Outliers are pushed out early the next morning, after the invasion. They escape by making another hole in the fence - both holes are guarded and are being repaired.
❧ There is a LOCKDOWN in place. This means that classes are canceled until Friday, and anyone going close to any point of the gate will be turned around with some less than friendly warning.
❧ Those who participated in defending Gora will be able to get a reward of their choice, within the realm of reason.

Things will be fairly tight-lipped nowadays, and there seem to be a couple more cameras... or at least, cameras moved to new places.

Hiatus, yo.

So I haven't been all that active, but from now until the end of the week (June 3rd? 4th maybe?) I need to call official hiatus. I'm on vacation with my family and only have my phone, so my tagging would be too limited to bother with. Also, you know, focusing on being on vacation! Whoo!

Anyways, much love, see you all around. Also this effects Ethan only, because he's all I got.

Oh wow, hey Gora! I have really been stupid and bleh lately, so I completely forgot to come here and say that I have another character! Another... technologically-incompetant one too, oops.

Anyway, name's Mango! I already play Daniel here, though he hasn't been seen around too much. I am going to try to fix that!

And well, here we have Issun, straight from the end of the game Okami. Sized up, too! Can't have a little green glowing bug walking around, after all. He looks like a kid, but don't let it fool you. He loves ladies, their racks especially. Just be warned, there! Not much more to say other than he's loud, proud, easy to anger, quick to take action, and is one heck of an artist. He likes reminding you of that.

Mod Announcement #13

Good to see you again, Gora-ites! For anyone following my personal plurk, you've been kept up to date on my RL situation. I can now safely say that I have a currently stable internet connection, no more finals, and various other RL things on a relatively calmer note compared to before.

This doesn't entirely excuse my slacking, however, so I would like to take this opportunity to ask you as the players what you would like to see in the next few months of the game. The previous mentioned plans are still laid out, but we are always open to suggestions!

Today, there will be a simple "party" log, just to stir up some activity while we get things organized for next month.

Hello Gora! I hope every has had a wonderful beginning of May! I know I have considering I just finished up an amazing ten day vacation. It is now sadly over and that means I am getting back into tags and new things.

I'll be going on an overseas trip to the Philippines from May 20th-June 3rd. I'm not sure if I'll have internet nor time to tag, so this is just in case. Sorry for taking so many consecutive hiatuses, but this will be the last one in a while. o7

Hello there Gora! My name is Rowan and I'm bringing you Lucifel from the manga Earthian. For those unfamiliar, Earthian is one of Yun Kouga's earlier works, a 4-volume story about aliens who are pretty much angels watching the Earth and counting all the good and bad things we do to determine whether or not to blast us out of space :D The main story doesn't actually involve my character, but her side story included in the final volume reveals a lot about some other pivotal characters. Anyway, she's kinda sassy and has pretty much no regard for the rules she thinks are stupid, nor is she shy about expressing those opinions. She is an angel, which means giant white wings, though she'll probably keep those hidden for the most part. In Gora, Lucifel is a Sacrifice with the name "Lawless".

Hello Gora!

I'm Zocura, and I'm new in this place, so definitely excited. I will be dragging a certain little wolf deity (humanized) from Okami into this party.

She is in general a very nice person. Though tends to have a temper if she catches you making fun of her. And without her little poncle friend (for the moment) she will be a bit more clueless than usual. And with coming from a place similar to feudal Japan, she will be in even more trouble when it comes to electronics.

So everyone should give her a chance to be good friends! And hopefully she can figure things out around here.

HELLO GORA!!

It's me Beans ~~once again~~ and I am bringing in Kaneo Yuuko from Tasogare Otome x Amnesia if anyone has read/watched that.

If you haven't... Well, Yuuko is a ghost. A really cute amnesiac ghost that is really fucking creepy at times when you remember she was violently murdered and stuck in a school for 60 years. Yeah. But don't worry, she doesn't like to bring that up. She is going to be super happy and excited because people can see her!! So she is going to befriend everyone and you better not forget her, okay? Okay.

Oh. And fair warning. She's sort of really flirty. She likes watching people get flustered because they can see what she is doing. So if you're a guy expect her to cling to you and all that great stuff. Yeeeep.
