It is with a heavy heart that we are closing Gora. However, we plan to reopen it at the end of summer (somewhere late August or early September)!

In the event that we do reopen it, we will allow all who applied to this place in without requiring them to reapply. The game's function, setting, and details will all change to accomodate a better format for the game, using the current system as a learning tool to decipher what to properly do.

If you do not want to rejoin us, we thank you sincerely for playing with us now and we hope you had a little fun in the time you were with us! If you want the earliest announcement of Gora's return, keep the Moderator plurk tracked or look for the game advertisements on RPAnons or RP!Secrets.

We had a wonderful time with you, and we'll do our best to provide an even better experience next time.

This is an important post! The game has noticeably slowed down, and I'm sure those of you whom are left have been concerned or frustrated about the activity, as are we. Unfortunately do to various circumstances, mostly personal/RL and miscommunication, us mods haven't been doing the best jobs either and we will totally take the fall for that. And I will be upfront, we may need to look for another mod or two soon-- or even just helper mods.

Nonetheless! While this post is not an AC, it is checking in on people who want to stick around and are still interested. There is a high likelihood we will be temporarily closing the game for the summer to restructure and replot. We unofficially went over some of this on plurk, but it's about time for an official announcement!

Additionally, if you don't have a plurk but/or would still like to contribute to the discussion of what you would like to see anyway, please feel free to leave feedback here in this post.

To give you a brief idea of some things we're taking into consideration:
- Slightly different AC
- Different app system
- More done with the anomaly (and closing for the summer may be taken as an "anomaly" event too)
- IC vs RL day system
- More face-to-face/action logs encouragement. Though this doesn't mean the network will be going entirely.
- NPCs will stick around, but there will be less reliance on them to drive things. More player impetus!
- Much more OOC info, of course. Especially re: setting.

So! Wondering what exactly is going on in Gora since the invasion? It's fairly simple!

❧ The Outliers are pushed out early the next morning, after the invasion. They escape by making another hole in the fence - both holes are guarded and are being repaired.
❧ There is a LOCKDOWN in place. This means that classes are canceled until Friday, and anyone going close to any point of the gate will be turned around with some less than friendly warning.
❧ Those who participated in defending Gora will be able to get a reward of their choice, within the realm of reason.

Things will be fairly tight-lipped nowadays, and there seem to be a couple more cameras... or at least, cameras moved to new places.

Good to see you again, Gora-ites! For anyone following my personal plurk, you've been kept up to date on my RL situation. I can now safely say that I have a currently stable internet connection, no more finals, and various other RL things on a relatively calmer note compared to before.

This doesn't entirely excuse my slacking, however, so I would like to take this opportunity to ask you as the players what you would like to see in the next few months of the game. The previous mentioned plans are still laid out, but we are always open to suggestions!

Today, there will be a simple "party" log, just to stir up some activity while we get things organized for next month.

❧ TEST-OUTS! Have been detailed on the residency page, since they are a part of that gradual process. ♥ There will be a network post about them come Wednesday.
❧ KP's internet! CONTINUES TO BE A THING, but we're hoping it will fix itself. That's why responses have been a little slow, please hold on!
❧ CR AND PLOTTING! After the current app round there will be a CR meme to rev up some excitement and potential new stuff, since it seems people have been a little shy to tag around. (Not that I can talk either.) We also know it is finals time for many, so it's also just to plan stuff for people to look forward to.

Hey howdy ho, my dear players! Time for an update!

❧Word Spell Classes! Now that we've had them once a week, we're wondering what you all think! Is that too frequent, or are you content with the pacing? We'd like to know what you all think!
❧The OUTLIERS! They will not be a regular monthly appearance, but in two weeks we will open up "registration" for Outlier contact. Your character will be chosen by the Outliers to receive information from them, and your character will be given the choice of sharing the information they get with other captives or keeping it all to themselves...
❧TEST-OUTS! On Tuesday, the OOC submission post will go up, and on Wednesday, the IC testing log will go up. The application form may change in order to include the test out system, though it has not yet been decided.
❧Activity Check! For this month, I made a very poor mistake and did not catch it until this late in the month. So everyone is given amnesty for the last AC. Enjoy your free pass, but be ready for next month's AC!

Hello my lovely Gora people! There has been plot shenanigans going on, so this is a catch all post for OOC interest.

Hi guys! As some of you know, I had some major issues with my internet provider. Now that I have a new one, things should be fitting a new pace and structure here pretty soon! Why's that? Well, we've set up a schedule for the game. Meaning, there is a pattern we will be adhering to in order to give all of you a grasp of what's to come, and a frame to build off of.

Here's what to expect from now on!

❧ The 1st-7th of the month is App Week, and the 8th-14th of the month is Activity Check Week.
❧ App Week aside, every Wednesday will be a Word Spell Class post! It will summarize the lessons of the week as a whole, learning will be slow, and you all will be able to "practice" against each other based on the lesson of the week. This is also where the NPCs can be interacted with, when not directly requested by a character.
❧ The third week of the month, ideally on Friday, is when any OOC information about a plot will be posted. It may be a brief summary of what's happening, or it may be something more involving.
❧ At some point during the final week of the month, there will be the IC plot post. Whether it is earlier or later in the week depends on how big it is - usually, we will be aiming for the 25th.
❧ The rest of the month will be wrap-up for the plot reveal of the month, and then before you know it apps are open again!

Hopefully this will create a better sense of consistent pacing and give people a more firm groundwork of what their characters are learning ICly. We appreciate you all staying with us this long, and we believe that this will enrich your experience. Thank you, and I hope you all will continue to have fun with us!

Hi guys! This is your new 3rd mod here, Sigrunic! (Also known as

hicsuntdracones/that person who plays William Twining and Kazuki Naruse). I'm here to basically help shoulder some of the burden KP and Al have been feeling, and hopefully we can start getting stuff really under way soon! I've also been added to the mod contact page should any of you need to contact me there. Feel free to also add me on plurk!

Got some big stuff cleared out!

❧ Activity Check Policy! It will be updated once monthly, and will fall between the 1st and 7th of every month. On the 5th, the Danger List will be presented. They will always be announced on my plurk. The first one will be March 1st.
❧ Canon Update Policy! Please read through this post, regardless of whether or not you are canon updating.
❧ Mod Applications will be coming very soon, still keep an eye out for that!
❧ Game Journal Style will be tinkered around with, on the mod account journal. We're going to try and find a theme that's unique to Gora! Anyone who wants to volunteer assistance for that will be very much appreciated.

Things have been pretty busy! In real life and in terms of game work, hah hah.

I've gone through the hiatus/drop page - if you're still on hiatus, please resubmit it!

❧ UPDATE on the Hiatus/Drops post. There's a few more steps to take for a drop, but it's a necessary evil!
❧ ADVERTISING is something we need help with! Please get into contact with us if you would like to volunteer for setting up the regular advertisements on App This Please, RP Secrets, or Anon Comm. Of course, you can always try to give the game a hand by promoting it to your friends and friends of your friends! If you see someone looking for a game, send them our way!
❧ IN THE FUTURE we will be "hiring" a third mod. I'm writing up a little requirements notice and setting up an application - keep it in mind! There's no set date on when this application is going up, but it's definitely going to be up before the second week of March.

Another announcement! More updates.

❧ MAPS!! We have maps now! The locations are described as well, and you are free to fill in any blanks with your own headcanon about what each store actually looks like. The general rule when it comes to shops and stores and rentals is 'don't be unreasonable, dude'.
❧ Tags! We found that unfortunately the "+character" tag function did not quite work. It has been replaced with "*character", so please use that!
❧ Residency. For now, don't worry about it. This will only become an issue once there are a greater density of characters. Keep an eye out for it in the near future, however, as it will be worked on between other projects for the game.

And that is it!

There will probably be quite a few of these! But there's been a couple of major updates.

❧ Applications have been revised! There's a new application guide separate from the application page. And guess what?
❧ Original Character Applications will be open next month!
❧ A tag system is in place on the main and log comms. The modules on the side of the communities show the format for tags - namely, "character name" for the character making a post and "+character name" for all that reply. In closed logs, simply have "character name" for all characters involved. The Logs community has a copy/paste form for the post format, as well.
❧ Reserves are open! Hooray for Reserves. There's been no changes to reserve format.
❧ Navigation is being made simpler! I'm slowly adding more and more cross-links so that wandering between posts and communities is more seamless and it's easier to locate important information.
❧ Maps and Locations are still under construction - however, a list of basic shops that are available will be put up before next Monday. Please bear with us!

Hello! This is an announcement from your friendly neighborhood mods! The opening of the game is just around the corner (Apps close at 11:49pm, 14th Jan. EST - game opens 12:00am 15th Jan. EST), and for the most part, everything is set up! However, there are a few things that are going to be updated very soon:

❧ The Map, Locations, and Residency Information will be updated as soon as possible. For now, these pages are irrelevant, but soon they will open for a better reference of your setting. An announcement will be made when that happens.
❧ The Game's Appearance may change! Don't be surprised if the sites undergo several changes in appearance - we're trying to find something that suits the game.
❧ Applications and the guide will be revised!
❧ Original Characters will be open next month. Next app cycle is scheduled to open on the 1st as of now, but may be subject to change.

We sincerely thank you for applying to our game! We will very shortly have an intro log up (link will be placed here), where your characters will be rallied in a group by some very confused NPC staff. There, your character can start interrogating them for answers (or be interrogated, themselves...)

As always, if you need to contact any of the mods, we are always taking questions no matter how big or small! Keep an eye on the OOC comm for future mod announcements!
